The 20 November marks World Children’s Day. World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare.
Play Action International are marking this day to celebrate this very special day, with this year’s theme ‘A Better Future for Every Child’ in mind. For 12 years, we’ve been working to enrich the lives of disadvantaged children’s lives through the power of play and as this important Awareness Day highlights, there’s still more work to do!
We fervently believe that all children, everywhere deserve to have the right to play. Play can not only support, but truly enhance a child’s development, ability to learn and heal from trauma. Every child’s future matters and that only makes our desire to continue to deliver our impactful play programmes for many years to come.
To date we’ve achieved a lot, but there’s so much more we can do!
So what can you do to celebrate World Children’s Day and help ensure that disadvantaged children globally can have their lives positively enriched through the amazing power of play?
