East Africa Summer Project Interns Summer 2024.

Want to be part of a Summer to remember and support hundreds of volunteers as they embark on their international volunteer projects to East Africa? We are looking for Summer Projects Interns to help create a successful volunteer experience in Uganda and Kenya. You will play a crucial role, supporting our International Event Coordinators, using excellent communication skills to ensure the safety and wellbeing of volunteers while on projects.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; attending pre-project visits, assessing the suitability of these before volunteers arrive, facilitating airport pick-ups and drop-offs, supporting volunteer inductions, first aid responses and coordinating weekend activities. You will liaise between Play Action International staff, volunteers and community members.

If you have brilliant communication skills, have a passion for travel and new cultures and can manage groups, working calmly under pressure, we want to hear from you. There are plenty of benefits and you’ll have an unforgettable Summer with our playful team.

UK University Team Leader – Part Time. Voluntary.

This role is designed to be flexible, accommodating your full-time studies, while offering you a transformative experience that matches your level of dedication. As a Team Leader, you will be the charity ambassador for your University. Your primary responsibilities are to help Play Action recruit a motivated team of passionate students, support them with fundraising events, and put on socials to foster a vibrant atmosphere and a sense of community amongst the team. Your relatability, reliability, and friendly nature will provide a pillar of support and guidance for fellow students who may find this experience completely new and unfamiliar.

You’ll serve as a crucial liaison between the university, the charity, and the team, providing essential information about university funding and assistance. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the productive presence of Play Action on campus, optimizing our time and impact.
