Play Action International has unveiled its brand-new app! This app has specifically been designed with volunteers in mind. When you sign up to the Uganda Volunteer Project, you will have free access to this personalised app to make your fundraising and volunteering journey as simple, straight-forward and fun as possible.

The experience is in your hands.’ summarises exactly what we wish to achieve with this app. This will not only enhance their time fundraising, but also their in-country experience.”
Powered by Vamoos, the app has all the resources that you as a participant could need from the minute you sign up until you’re back in the UK after experiencing the trip of a lifetime in Uganda. This app has everything: information on booking your flights and applying for your visa, key contacts and DBS checks, kit lists and trip itineraries. The fundraising section allows you access to a whole hub of resources, whether it’s lockdown friendly ideas, setting up your fundraising page, or ordering your free Play Action t-shirt – you’ll never be stuck for ideas or support. Everything an excited explorer could need is in your hands.
This app offers you an interactive experience to stay engaged and informed throughout your Play Action journey, including functions such as…
- Countdown to (the minute of!) your trip
- Live updates from the team with important information
- See the location where you and your team will be building your playground
- Locate nearby points of interest (airports, cash points, shops, cafes, etc.)
- Check out details and locations of all the extension trips and activities available to you
- Live weather updates
- Communicate on a group chat with your whole team
- Privately chat to the Fundraising Team at Play Action for one-to-one instant support
