Play Action is thrilled to be supported by Central England Co-op who have brought their Christmas Toy Appeal Back as Part of ‘Goodwill To All’ Campaign
Central England Co-op stores have been collecting toys since the start of November until early December and is kindly supporting several charities including Play Action. Customers have plenty of opportunities to donate toys to the appeal in the area, at their local stores. Thereafter, Central England’s Co-op will be dispatching their specially outfitted lorry to collect the kind donations.
The Central England Co-op’s Christmas Toy Appeal has previously seen thousands of donated toys delivered to children in need across Central England. Last year alone saw over 10,000 toys delivered to children across the region. This is all made possible by generous donations from members and customers.
Donations are being made via all 248 food stores and 179 of the Co-ops funeral homes, as the business also continues its ongoing support of local food banks, so there are so many places you can get involved with this generous, festive appeal.
Debbie Robinson, Central England Co-op CEO, said: “Every year our Christmas Toy Appeal brings joy to so many children, and that’s why we’re so passionate about it. This year will be especially important as we extend this support to the children of families fleeing the ongoing war in Ukraine.”

Items that can be donated have to be new, unwrapped and can include puzzles, games, soft toys, outdoor toys, books, dolls/figures and art materials. Central England Co-op will also be hosting special community events in select locations to encourage donations and celebrate the festive period.
