Lauren Pollard – Volunteer Coordinator

Lauren first got involved with Play Action back in 2019, where she signed up at the University of Plymouth to head out to Uganda. She fell in love with East Africa and the amazing impact that ethical and sustainable volunteering can have to empower communities. Lauren has been involved with charities and not-for-profits since she was a teenager and has experience supporting volunteers through projects and fundraising in a wide range of humanitarian and environmental causes. After finishing her degree in Marine Biology, Lauren joined the Play Action team as a Volunteer Coordinator, supporting our amazing volunteers through their journey with us. Lauren loves the outdoors and being in nature, you can often find her walking her dog or paddleboarding on a local lake! Her favourite part of her job at PAI is watching volunteers grow and leave an incredible legacy out in East Africa!
