Responsible Gambling
This is the full treatment, on one page, with nothing softened. If you arrived here from the list because something in it unsettled you, read this page before you read anything else on the site.
Warning signs
- Depositing again to win back what was lost earlier the same day.
- Playing for longer than you decided to before you started, more than once.
- Hiding the amount, or the fact, from someone who would care.
- Borrowing to play, or using money set aside for rent, bills or food.
- Feeling irritable or flat when not playing, and relieved once playing again.
- Searching for a casino that will accept you after another one has stopped you.
One of these is worth noticing. Two or more, over weeks, is a reason to talk to someone today. The helpline at the bottom of this page is free and open at every hour.
GamStop: what it is and who must join
GamStop is the national online self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain, run by The National Online Self-Exclusion Scheme Ltd. Every operator licensed by the Gambling Commission to offer remote gambling has had to take part since 31 March 2020. You register once, choose six months, one year or five years, and every licensed site refuses you for that period. The scheme's report for the first half of 2026 put registrations at 614,738.
The casinos reviewed on this site are not part of it, because none of them holds a British licence. That is a fact about the sites, not an invitation. If you are registered with GamStop and a licensed site is refusing you, the scheme is working as intended. We do not explain how to work round it. Emails that ask are not answered.
Tools that work at any casino
- Deposit limits. Most cashiers, including offshore ones, let you cap deposits per day, week or month. Set the limit before the first deposit, not after a bad night, and expect any increase to carry a waiting period.
- Cooling-off. A short lock on the account, usually from 24 hours to a few weeks, that cannot be undone once set.
- Per-site self-exclusion. Offshore casinos usually offer their own exclusion through support. It applies to that site only, and it depends on the operator honouring it.
- Gamban. Paid blocking software that covers gambling sites and apps across your devices, offshore ones included, and is built to be hard to remove in a hurry.
- BetBlocker. A free blocker with the same aim and a list you can extend. Set a long duration, because a short one is easy to wait out.
Device-level blocking is the only tool on this list that an offshore operator cannot ignore, because it acts on your side of the connection rather than theirs.
Where to get help
- GamCare. The National Gambling Helpline is 0808 8020 133, free, open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, by phone or live chat.
- BeGambleAware. Information, a self-assessment, and routes into free treatment.
- NHS. Specialist gambling clinics run through the NHS and accept self-referral. Your GP can also refer you.
If the gambling is someone else's and it is affecting you, GamCare's line takes those calls as well. None of these services will ask why you were at an offshore casino, and none of them reports to an operator. A call costs nothing and commits you to nothing beyond the conversation.
If you would rather not speak to anyone yet, the self-assessment on BeGambleAware takes a few minutes and gives you a plain answer. Most people who take it already know what it will say. Taking it anyway is the first step that costs the least.
Honest limits
A casino outside GamStop has no affordability checks, no British dispute body and no tie-in to the national exclusion scheme. Those are the conditions of play, and the list on this site exists because people search for them. We report the terms as they are written. What we will not do is treat the absence of oversight as a feature, print a payout time nobody measured, or hand down a verdict on how trustworthy any of these sites is. If the only reason you are reading the list is that GamStop stopped you somewhere else, close the list and ring the number above.
